About Sri Krishna Education Trust
Sri Krishna Education Trust was established in 1991 in the memory of Mr. Sri Krishna Saxena (1913 - 1965), a historian and academician.
It is a charitable trust whose objects include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To promote the cause of education by setting up and/or managing schools, colleges (technical, medical and fine arts), and other institutions of learning
- To diffuse useful educational, literary and social knowledge
- To manage or assist in managing institutions for providing job oriented training in handicrafts, skill development etc. to enable people to lead their lives as useful and self-respecting citizens with independent professions and income of their own without discrimination based on religion, caste, creed etc.
- To establish, run and/or lend support in establishing hospitals, nursing homes laboratories etc. to further the cause of education and research in various branches of knowledge and science
The Trust owns and operates three schools including the Shishya BEML Public School, Bangalore, which has been ranked among the top schools of the city. It was ranked second in the area by the 2023-24 Times of India survey of Bangalore Schools. The school, which is celebrating its 30th year, has 2800 students and 140 teachers. The other schools are The Shishya Jigyasa Academy, Bangalore, an International school following the Cambridge IGCSE Syllabus, and The Shishya School, Pathankot (CBSE syllabus).
The trust also runs higher educational institutions in Himachal Pradesh under the name of MINERVA GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS. The group comprises 5 colleges and offers 14 courses. For more details click here
